Day 1Pokhara to GhandrukSleep Elev: 1,940m
Drive from Pokhara to Kimche (3 hrs), climb stone steps to Ghandruk (1 hr). Visit traditional Gurung village houses.
Day 2Ghandruk to TadapaniSleep Elev: 2,630m
Short hike climbing through oak forests (4 hrs). Views of Machhapuchhre.
Day 3Tadapani to DobatoSleep Elev: 3,420m
Climb through forest trails (5 hrs) to the high clearing of Dobato.
Day 4Dobato Rest & ExplorationSleep Elev: 3,420m
Built-in rest day. Climb Muldai Viewpoint for sunrise, explore local yak pastures, and rest.
Day 5Dobato to ChhistibungSleep Elev: 2,975m
Descend into the valley clearing, watching for pheasants and deer (4 hrs).
Day 6Chhistibung to Khopra RidgeSleep Elev: 3,660m
Steep 1,000m climb on exposed grassy ridges (5 hrs). Direct view of Dhaulagiri.
Day 7Khopra to Khayer Lake & ReturnSleep Elev: 3,660m
Strenuous day hike to the sacred alpine lake (4,660m) and back (8-9 hrs).
Day 8Khopra Ridge to SwantaSleep Elev: 2,214m
Descend steeply through alpine meadows and bamboo forests to Swanta Magar village (5 hrs).
Day 9Swanta to GhorepaniSleep Elev: 2,860m
Climb through Magar villages and oak forests to join the classic route at Ghorepani (4 hrs).
Day 10Ghorepani to Nayapul & PokharaSleep Elev: 820m
Hike to Poon Hill, descend stone steps to Nayapul (6 hrs), drive to Pokhara (1.5 hrs).
