The Glacial Dome of Gangapurna
Gangapurna (7,455m) is a massive peak located in the main Annapurna range. While it is best known as the towering background of Manang village along the Annapurna Circuit, it is also visible looking northeast from the viewpoints of the Khopra Ridge Trek.
Due to visual overlap, Gangapurna is partially hidden behind Nilgiri and Annapurna South from the lower trails. However, from the high, open panoramic lookouts of Muldai Viewpoint and Khopra Ridge, its high snow-capped summit stands out clearly against the deep blue sky, especially in the clear morning hours of autumn.
